General Information

Alfred Joseph Hitchcock was born on August 13, 1899, in London. A shy boy, his biggest interests were math and technology. He grew up to become a director, producer, and screenwriter. Most people know him as the "Master of Suspense."

His parents, William and Emma Hitchcock, had a major influence on his religion. Alfred was raised strictly Catholic, as were his older siblings: William and Ellen Kathleen.

After marrying actress Alma Reville, Alfred Hitchcock was blessed with his only daughter, Patricia.

Before Hitchcock's death on April 29, 1980 in Los Angeles, he produced several films, which can be found in the next section.

Cool Quotes

"Someone once told me that every minute a murder occurs, so I don't want to waste your time, I know you want to go back to work."

"As you have seen on the screen; the best way to do it is with a scissor."

"A lot of movies are about life, mine are like a slice of cake."

"Once a man commits himself to murder, he will soon find himself stealing. The next step will be alcoholism, disrespect for the Sabbath and from there on it will lead to rude behaviour. As soon as you set the first steps on the path to destruction you will never know where you will end. Lots of people owe their downfall to a murder they once committed and weren't too pleased with at the time."
